Stripe metered billing
UsageMill is not a Stripe Billing replacement. We emit metered lines into the invoice Stripe already owns.
UsageMill complements Stripe Billing. We persist events and, when keys are set, write invoice items or metered subscription lines. Stripe invoices and collects. We are not the merchant of record.
Napkin math for the line a daily cron would aim at Stripe. If a Billing meter event name is set, we attach usage there; otherwise the stub write is a $0 invoice item.
